About Our Wines

The WinesAll the wines at Mas de la Lionne are hand-crafted, limited production wines; from the Cotes du Rhone red and rose to the award-winning wines: the ‘Old Vines’ Ombre du Chateau and our grandest cuvee, Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Our commitment is to allow the terroir to show through to the finished wine by not interfering during the winemaking process. Only pre-used (2 years) oak barrels are employed for ageing, when the wine warrants it, to ensure that the fruit comes forward – not the wood. This minimalist approach yields wines that are true to their source.

2012 “Voluptuous, sweetly fruited effort that has lots to love. Giving up ample garrigue, sweet black cherries and hints of crushed flowers, this medium to full-bodied shows the hallmark supple, rounded and soft texture of the vintage. Should drink nicely through 2020. 89 pts.” Robert Parker

2013 Chateauneuf-du-Pape

Alc. 15.0 %
