Ombre du Chateau (Cotes du Rhone) Red – 2013
100% Grenache
Made from a selection of old-vine fruit, this oak barrel-aged cuvee has the deep garnet color associated with mature vines. Aromas of dark red fruits combine with a hint of chocolate. In the mouth, essences of black strawberry jam mix with hints of cooked cherries and tobacco. A well-structured wine, it complements darker meats such as grilled lamb or duck breast.
